Passion | Purpose | Power

10.9.10 --- 9 Years together 6 years married. Thanking God for the happiest 9 years of my life. It’s never a dull moment. A Life full of PASSION, PURPOSE and POWER. “There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” —Nelson Mandela. I live by this quote not only in life, business but also in relationships.

Why settle with someone that is small minded and non-conducive to your dreams, standards and vision. Think BIG and invest into the challenge for a purpose filled, loving and happy relationship. Think more. Think of the very best a person has to offer. Not just finances (which is important) but in all areas. Spirituality, honesty, family, accomplishments, goals, priorities, idols and the understanding of their position in a relationship.

This does not mean a person will be PERFECT. Quite frankly there is no such thing. And to your surprise there is no such thing as MARRYING THE WRONG PERSON. To me, perfection is the ability to stay on the same page throughout the surprises of life. This takes fight. This takes vision. This takes purpose. Why is it important to know your purpose? It gives you a reason not to give up!!! Reason to keep going, to be happy and to have an impactful life. Living life without a purpose is like having a business without a product or service. You're just simply a name!!! “If you don’t know what your passion is, realize that one reason for your existence on earth is to find it.”- Oprah Winfrey. My ultimate favorite quote. Putting things in perceptive, it’s even more powerful to know the purpose as a unit in a marriage because vision is birthed out of purpose. Once the purpose is reviled then the vision is birthed next comes positions.

The power in positions. As a unit we are one. One vision different positions. To find your purpose in life is a reason to celebrate. But to find your purpose as a unit that is POWER. To find that person that creates impact and lives a purposeful life with you is priceless. There is no other love like it. It doesn't make the marriage perfect; it just makes it worth the fight. Know what role you play in the relationship measures the success of it. A marriage with passion, purpose and power is a marriage worth waiting for. The key is what to do during the waiting period.

As you wait for that partner that has the potential to be the one you must know your passion and find your purpose. Get yourself prepared so your position in this powerful marriage is adequate and you are the best fit for the role.

Positions are so important because knowing what role each other plays in the relationship allows you both to leverage strength and substitute for each other’s weaknesses.
